Pantry Staples

Reenergizing your body with delicious whole foods is much easier when you’ve got the ingredients on hand! Stock your pantry with some of our suggestions below and you’ll be able to whip up almost anything from homemade muesli and chia puddings to hearty casseroles, super salads and yummy soups. Of course you’ll still have to buy your weekly fresh produce, but if you can get this during a weekend stroll through your local Farmers Market you’ll add even more feel-good vibes to your body and soul.

COOKING

  • Extra virgin (cold pressed) olive oil
  • Coconut Oil
  • Full fat Coconut milk
  • Organic can tomatoes
  • Lentils and beans
  • Nutritious whole grains such as quinoa, farro, brown rice, corn, bulgur wheat, spelt or barley
  • Onions and garlic
  • Herbs & Spices: Rosemary, oregano, thyme, smoked paprika, turmeric, chilli flakes, cayenne pepper, ground cumin & coriander, sea salt and peppercorns

BAKING & RAW DESSERTS

  • Coconut oil
  • Macadamia oil
  • Almond meal
  • Sweeteners: Coconut sugar, raw honey – local if possible, natural vanilla bean paste or essence
  • Oats
  • Chia seeds
  • Medjool dates
  • Coconut flakes
  • Gluten free baking powder
  • Herbs & Spices: nutmeg, cinnamon, all spice & cacao powder (all of which are also delish in smoothies!)

SNACKS

  • Corn kernels (for popcorn of course!)
  • Herbal teas
  • Nut and seeds: Try walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, flaxseeds, sesame & sunflower seeds and pepitas
  • Dark Chocolate

CONDIMENTS

  • Apple cider vinegar: Use in place of balsamic vinegar in salad dressings
  • Hummus (homemade if you can!)
  • Tamari
